A Busy Time! July and August have proved successful if not busy months for all concerned with the club. The course has shown itself to be one of the best in the Lothians. Feedback from visitors and members alike has had nothing but praise for the work the green staff has achieved. With Opens, Silloth, Club Championships the golfing calendar was full. Congratulations to all the Championship winners and competition winners. The format of holding the finals on one day proved a huge success again.

Volunteering It is easy to forget the effort required to run each of these events. In all honesty we are too reliant on the same helpers. Next time you put your name up for a competition, think of volunteering. Harburn's a Winner! Congratulations to the Juniors, Ladies and Seniors, Again! Sections for winning their respective leagues. Clearly the condition of the course is helping to maintain our competitive edge. The Beginnings of a New Star! Eilidh Crawford has been selected for coaching by the Scottish Golf Academy. Computer Systems The new IT system is in and running, making life behind the scenes much better. Our website has been completely revamped included more regular updates and forums. Please take time to register and participate in the forums. Free WIFI has also been installed and is accessible in the lounge area. Please contact the office for the password. |
COUNCIL FEEDBACK The council members are keen to get your feedback and hear what is going on. Please send any news items or suggestions via the website, or: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. Unfortunately, we have had a small, however, alarming number of incidents and damage to the course and clubhouse. All members are asked to remain vigilant and to report any suspicious activities to the office. You may have noticed the new custom built display cabinets in Spikes Bar. These have been generously donated by Jim Stewart of ClickNetherfield and will enable us to make more of a feature of our trophies. Our thanks go to Jim and his company. Remember to register on the new website: http://www.harburngolfclub.co.uk, and give us your feedback or better still start a new forum discussion! |
