To all Harburn members, A Happy New Year and all the very best for the golfing season ahead!
Almost time to clean up the clubs, polish the boots or take the wrapper off those Christmas presents. Who will own up to flicking through the odd golfing magazine looking for that elusive tip?
The weather, although wet and windy has been kinder to us than last year. Golf has at least been possible; we have even been on full greens at times.
We are hitting the new season running on all fronts, Golf, Social and Administration.

Fiona McAdam takes over the role of Assistant Secretary following Margaret’s retirement.
Graham Sneddon has been co-opted onto Council and has already made a difference helping develop the social calendar.
Please welcome both Fiona and Graham into their new roles.
The Ladies section continues to lead the way with a series of mixed events.
A new social calendar is being produced; please check the notice boards and web site. February kicks off with a Ceilidh, St Valentine’s Day lunch and Burns Supper.
The use of the website is increasing, however we only have 100 members registering their e-mail address and only a handful of contributors. Increasingly, to improve communications and reduce our postal costs we are looking to step into the electronic age. E-mail addresses please and think about contributing…. |

Bob Smith
The announcement of the death of Bob Smith who has done so much for the club was received with great sadness.
Bob was a member for many years, a past Captain and held the position of the Head Green Keeper, in many ways set the standard and course fundamentals we enjoy today.
A great supporter of the club, our thoughts are with his family at this time. |
